LIVV Cardiff Launches as San Diego's First Private Health Club Offering Biomarker Testing and Spa Amenities
LIVV Cardiff is a private, members-only wellness club that leverages the latest medical technologies to optimize health, aging, and athletic performance.
LIVV, San Diego's first private members-only wellness club, has opened its doors in Cardiff, a coastal town between San Diego's downtown and Orange County.
Elevating wellness to a new level, LIVV's mission is to leverage the latest medical technologies to optimize health, aging, and athletic performance. It's one of the first private clubs to offer medical analysis and medical treatments in combination with luxury spa services and minimally invasive beauty treatments.
At the beginning of each enrollment, clients begin with a comprehensive blood panel, hormone testing, and biomarker testing. Two weeks after the results arrive, the medical team reviews the data and designs a personalized treatment plan leveraging the latest technologies in longevity therapies.
Hormone optimization therapies play a role in boosting energy levels, reducing mood swings, reducing brain fog, and promoting deep, restful sleep.
A large lounge area features comfortable velvet chairs with adjustable footrests where members can relax and experience select treatments.
A remarkable service that LIVV Cardiff offers is comprehensive biomarker testing with regular monitoring for its clients. Biomarker testing, also known as molecular profiling, involves collecting samples of blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to detect specific genes, proteins, and other molecules that indicate the presence of diseases, such as cancer.
With continuous monitoring, the team can help plan treatments and adjust them as biomarker tests indicate the progression of the treatments. Depending on the membership tier, guests can receive a certain number of biomarker tests per year. According to the American Cancer Society, biomarker testing can play an important role in personalized treatment by analyzing tissue, blood, and bodily fluid samples.
Treatment offerings include vitamin drips, wellness shots, peptide therapy, and NAD+ therapies.
Another luxury service offered is hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) found in very few private facilities. Clients sit comfortably in a space-age-looking hyperbaric oxygen chamber, where they inhale 100% pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber to increase oxygen flow in the bloodstream.
In the medical world, it's used for decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, burns, severe anemia, crush injuries, and skin infections. Treatment can aid in wound healing and cell damage repair by facilitating the regeneration of damaged tissues, including blood vessels, new skin, and connective tissues, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
On-site amenities include contrast therapy, featuring three cold plunge pools with varying temperatures ranging from 40 degrees to 50 degrees.
With three tiers of memberships (Diamond, Platinum, and Emerald), the menu of services includes biomarker testing, IV wellness shots, comprehensive blood panels, Ozone blood spinning, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, HydraFacials, and massages ranging from sports to soothing.
The number of specific treatments offered in a period depends on the membership levels. Treatments, ranging from vitamin drips, wellness shots, peptide therapy, and NAD+ therapies (which help with cellular metabolism and slow down the aging trajectory), can be completed in various rooms, from private rooms to the luxury lounge area with sofas and armchairs you can sink into.
The one-hour Hydra Facial involves red light therapy for collagen boosting, while the aesthetician performs a scalp massage using a manta brush. Afterward, the "gunk" cylinder shows the dirt that's been embedded in the skin.
Other types of skin treatments include facial fillers using bio-compatible fillers, a quick forma laser facial that tightens and smooths skin in 30 to 60 minutes, intense pulse light therapy (IPL), and Morpheus 8, a non-surgical microneedling and radio-frequency treatment to boost collagen production in the skin.
Members can also relax in the infrared sauna at LIVV Cardiff.
On-site amenities include contrast therapy, featuring three cold plunge pools with varying temperatures ranging from 40 degrees to 50 degrees, as well as an infrared sauna. The staff recommends starting with the coldest temperature plunge and soaking for just a few minutes, or until you feel uncomfortable.
A large lounge area features comfortable velvet chairs with adjustable footrests, and a cafe offers complimentary coffee, tea, and water.
The new wave of medical spas combines the latest in medical analysis within a spa atmosphere, making health treatments an easier pill to swallow.
